In October, Sony released their latest update to the Playstation 3: Version 3.37. This newest edition of their well known software includes many important features, which are discussed below.
One feature many who use the Sony network will appreciate, is the fact that the Playstation 3 now auto-uploads saved data. You need a PlayStation Plus and network account to take advantage of this feature, but it will help these members to avoid losing valuable gaming data.
This update also includes important security patches to keep your data the safest possible. Keep in mind that Sony suffered a huge hacking attack earlier in the year that knocked their network offline, so these security patches are crucial.
Some other functions you will see include new icons for the TV/Video service, an improvement made to the PlayStation’s playback quality, and some additional improvements that allow better sharing of photo files and 3D ability.
All in all, we think this latest update is great and we encourage all Ps3 players to make sure their console has been fully updated to this latest version. But be sure that when you install the update that you only install from the official site, otherwise you risk data corruption or other problems and may need to do some PS3 repair work on your gaming console.
